Grant-based contract Positions
Request for Qualifications:
Minnesota Media Arts (MNMA) is seeking experienced professionals to support our community preservation initiative, “Community Media Preservation Strategies and Archiving Workshops.” This collaboration with the Saint Paul Neighborhood Network (SPNN) is funded by the Minnesota Historical Society’s Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
Project Director (Part-Time)
- Rate: $50/hour
- Hours: 10 hrs/month (approx. 120 hrs total)
- Dates: July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026
- Location: In-person (Twin Cities)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate work plan and timelines between MNMA and SPNN
- Supervise volunteers and manage reports
- Track project milestones and budget
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing media preservation projects
- Strong communication and planning skills
Archive Lead (Part-Time)
- Rate: $45/hour
- Hours: 10 hrs/week (approx. 480 hrs total)
- Dates: July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026
- Location: In-person (Twin Cities)
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and support a media archive workstation
- Assist with workshop framework development
- Provide technical guidance and support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in media preservation and metadata schemas
- Familiarity with legacy video formats and collection care
