Please help support our preservation and archiving projects now underway.

Our cultural history captured on videotape is 'in crisis' and may be lost forever. While viable video playback equipment is becoming more obsolete, the magnetic tape medium itself is also disintegrating. You need to take action to stabilize your media collection, through an archive and preservation process, as soon as possible, or it may just disappear.

MNMA is here to help!
Please consider supporting our efforts through an operations donation or a special projects contribution. Current projects under development include:

- Melisande Charles Video Art Collection 1972-2010 project

- Cable Arts Consortium Archive 1985-1993 project

- University Community Video/Intermediaarts "Changing Channels Series" Collection Project. 1974-1978

Minnesota Media Arts (MNMA) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization fostering the production, preservation and access to works of media arts, documentaries and independant programming. We were founded as the Twin Cities Cable Arts Consortium in1985 to promote and distribute arts programming. We are continuing to work with Minnesota's creative, cultural, artistic organizations and individuals to better manage and stabilize their media collections to preserve our cultural heritage.

We do this by offering...
- Media preservation advocacy and educational resources
- Media conservation though archive producer and project coordination
- Media production of performing arts and audience development and distribution services.
